Gossips: New Stadium?
The fans were shocked yesterday, when they heard some authorities state that the legendary Inonu Stadıum was going to be knocked down and a new stadium was going to be made. While some fans were happy about this news, some were unhappy. I personally think thaat our legendary stadium should be kept as it is at the moment because it beholds great joy and memories.
Nouma's Advertisement
In the recent days, many Beşiktaş fans were happy to see their ex-player Pascal Nouma in an advertisement. Nouma, who had gained the supporters affection and love during the time that he played for Beşiktaş was forced to leave because of the Turkish Football Federation. Thousands were shocked and happy when they heard Nouma say, " I missed my country too".
Rivals in UEFA
Yestarday, it was cleared that Beşiktaş would be chosen from the third group in the UEFA group selections. The possible rivals are Juventus, Marsilla, Sparta Prag and Dinamo Kiev. While all of these teams are very good teams, there is no doubt that Beşiktaş is as good as they are and there is no real reason to be pessimistic about the group.
Greatest Fan Ever: Atatürk
I want to write this entry about the greatest Beşiktaş fan: Atatürk. While many gossips state that Atatürk, founder of Turkish Republic was a supporter of Fenerbahçe, the truth is that Atatürk was a Beşiktaş fan. During his life, Atatürk would usually go and watch Beşiktaş matches and was known for his affection to the team. Therefore, Atatürk was definately a Beşiktaş fan.
Players who will most likely to leave
As the preperations for the new season slowly start, Beşiktaş has decided to cancel the contracts of several player. The player who will most likely to leaver are: Delgado, Cisse and Zapotoncny. These player have served Beşiktaş well but because of the rule which states that only a certain amount of foreign players are allowed to play, these players will not be in Beşiktaş next year.
New T-Shirts
After their awesome season "kara kartallar" (black eagles) finally announce thier new championship edition t-shirts. These t-shirts are of limited edition and are great additions to any Beşiktaş fan's wardrobe. Moreover, for people who are interested, two different colour options are available.
Champion
This year, Beşiktaş finally became the champion, also winning the Turkish Cup. Many may say that it was luck- but the truth is that a man changed everything. After finishing the 6th before the break in the league, Beşiktaş signed Mustafa Denizli as their manager. Denizli, who used to manage GS and FB in the past, said that Beşiktaş had the potantial to become the champion. Well not much is left to say...
